cubicles
So you’re thinking about going for a surf. Good move. Its small, like 2-3 foot and only going to get better as the tide kicks in. One small problem. You’re stuck in a little office cubicle getting creepy on face*book (wal) and you just can’t bust out this early. Well, to rub it in, it’s going to be perfectly sunny, 27, winds are flicking around to the NE (offshore at south facing beaches) and there’s a sweet little peak in the middle and the southern corner of Bondi. I would expect the same at Curly, Av, Whaley, Freshie, The bra, Bronte, blah blah…nothing big, but what a great day to be outside. By 4pm I would expect it to back off to 2 foot and sadly tomorrow will be scrappin’ 1 foot. But it’s a beach weekend with 23 degrees tomorrow and a nice big 30 on Sunday.

mentawai islands
I get asked a lot about the little archipelago hanging off Sumatra. I’ve been 8 times and never get sick of the joint. Who could? Its heaven. Well they had an incredible season this year and all the boaties are now starting to pack up and head to Thailand to spend their annual income on booze and *other things. What this means is it’s now time to book your slot for 2008. I charter the boat Tengirri twice a year as its small, fast and the cook can make a mean Massaman. Oh you only need 6 blokes as well and you can drop in on the skipper. So now is the time, wait until next year and there will be no slots left…doit. www.tengirri.com Contact: anthony@tengirri.com or Phone:0434249834

single fin classic bondi – Nov 3rd 2007
I rate the single fin comp. It’s a crack up. Basically get yourself a vintage single fin, download the entry form, dig out the 70’s beachware, cough of 50 bones, practice your bad dance moves and be there at 7am 3Nov Sat south Bondi. Everyone is welcome to compete or watch. Loads of prizes, bad dancing, nudity and beers at the BRH afterwards.

1200 bikinis
So many people have clicked on this link to see the world record swimsuit shoot photos (100,000 +). No surprises there… Well, I shot a black’n’white pic on the day with a medium format panoramic camera. Rare camera. Rare event. You can buy a framed print of this historical Bondi event from the Aquabumps Gallery this weekend – 98 Brighton Boulevard North Bondi (map). We’ve got one in stock – so you can come see on your way to the beach. Open Saturday and Sunday 10am to 4pm. Download Desktop WallPaper
