burning light 30th May 2008
Great beginners waves today, or if you like surfing boards that are fat or very long – it’s your day. Crowds are minimal and the burning light was spectacular this morning. Crisp chilly mornings, but a swim still not out of the question.
Currently there are waves between 1-2 foot in the southern corner of Bondi, this will continue to fade overnight and tomorrow looks flat. On Sunday a new ENE swell will rear its head in the afternoon amongst favourable offshore sou-westerlies (2ft). This new ENE swell will continue to grow into Monday (3 foot).
So a decent plan for the weekend would be to pass surfing on Sat, go shopping with the little lady scoring maximum brownie points, throw in a couple galleries to show that you aren’t 1 dimensional : For example the Canon World Press Photo exhibition is on @ State Library of NSW, (which is amazing), the Aquabumps gallery in North Bondi 10am to 4pm all weekend or if you’re up near Byron there is some interesting stuff coming out of SEA (Dain Thomas and Mcneil) Www.seasurfboards.com
