The golden light of a fresh new south swell

My Bondi

With Uge away on a well deserved break, he asked me to throw a few pics together that paint a picture of Bondi from my perspective.  Trolling through my archives looking for Bondi shots, I realised one thing, it’s nothing but good times!  Wow… what a place to live, city bordering, coastal village, party town with creativity running through it’s veins.  It’s a rad place and no wonder so many people want to call this place home, visit for a day, extended stay, or cruise in for a one night stand with this engrossing suburb.

I tried to pick images that sum up a broad range of Bondi Life… Getting up to catch that golden light, the 9-5 surf crew out early jostling for waves before the office, pool side to watch one of the world’s best skateboarders shred the bowl, sliding a few shoreys with your mates, hanging out on the Grassy Knoll or talking shop with local surfboard shaper Scott … They all have one thing in common, Bondi.

:: Juzzy. Pronounced juz with an e on the end – The swedish backpackers say juicy but i’m fine with that 😉

  1. could guess it was you writing this J-Barn! thanks for making me miss that place some more 😉 add a little snow, mountains and swiss chocolate on toppings and it would depict our life up here! welcome anytime for deep powder lines 🙂

  2. Sorry Justin I have to correct your caption for photo 2. That is a layback air not a handplant. Quite different tricks.

Skaters don’t call handplants handplants either; too generic.

    You have :
inverts (backside grab mute plant back hand)
andrechts (backside grab backside plant back hand)
eggplants (backside grab indy plant front hand)
frontside invert (frontside grab indy plant front hand)
layback air (frontside grab mute plant back hand)
