The new kid on the block, Shredder Chris Friend from Sunshine Coast

Standby

Nice morning. Shame the waves were once again small and weak. Grey dominated the skies and the water surfaces were silky smooth.

It doesn’t look like there will be any memorable swells this weekend. Maybe a flap around on the fish or mal. Next week, well, next weeks a different story. Something cooking mid-week. Until then, sit tight and trawl Google earth for unknown surf destinations.

Our Gallery in Bondi is open all weekend. No we don’t charge an entry fee (you’d be surprised how many people ask). You will find us at 151 Curlewis Street Bondi Beach, now that’s behind the Bondi Hotel. View our online catalogue here, bring in your short list of favs, and we’ll see if we can fill those boring blank walls in your home.

Follow us on Instragram, if you like (@Aquabumps). Sorry about all the baby shots. He’s super cute though isn’t he.

Adios:: uge

  1. Is there any way we can get the Waverly council to put preservation measures in for the “boy with icecream” graffiti. It’s quintessential bondi.

  2. Hi Uge,

Bondi nipper finishes up for the year on sunday morning, how about coming down and getting a few shots of our future life savers,

    1. Steve,
I have first hand witnessed the Bondi life savers fall of their boards and be rescued by surfers, sleep on the beach whilst on patrol, run over swimmers in their IRBs. They do dish out some sweet sunscreen when you forget but.

We all know the lifeguards do all the work…

If you are drowning, pray for the Blue guys not the Red and Yellow ones.

      1. Jnas,

Mate i think you have some issues here, did you get run over?

All i was thinking of was a shot of the kids having a bit of fun and learning water safety with the volunteers who spare their time for 15 weeks of the year of doing something which is pretty quintessentially Bondi.
Plus I thought it would make a good shot!

Maybe you should volunteer for the next season so you can impart some of your immense wisdom. Actually probably not, with ignorance like yours it might be better you keep to your own little world.

      2. Stevo,
I reckon I have saved more swimmers and lifesavers out at Tama then they have all season. You don’t have to wear DT’s and a red and white cap to save lives….Those guys are useless.

I am even thinking of starting the TSLSSC: Tamarama Surf Life Savers Savers Club

        1. Jonas, keep it relevant buddy. Steve was merely suggesting a photo opportunity with kids and you’re taking about how you’re baywatch ironman – the hoff. Congrats, but let’s try and keep these comments in line with the conversation eh? uge

  3. Mid week looking good, just in time for the clocks going back. The pre work paddles were getting just too gloomy!
