Feels like we’ve been transported back to the wintery blues after a few steamy summery days. That south change hit yesterday around 10am and has hung around. So windy.
Forget surfing. Its dire down there with that wicked combo of onshore and small conditions. Wait until the blow subsides.
Whilst you’re bunkering down indoors…the PIPELINE MASTERS is on right now. Oh boy it’s a race to the finish with Parko, Fanning and Slater all in the running for the World Title. Parko just made it through his Round 3 heat over Kalani Chapman…you gotta watch this. Hell even Kelly Slater’s mother has flown into Hawaii for this show down (and she hasn’t been to a surf comp in 10 years). Is Slater really retiring after this event?
