Today we’ve got a guest surf reporter…fashion frotha and long time Bondi loiterer Damion Fuller (ex kitten). Damion is possibly the most enthusiastic surfer in the southern hemisphere. Just driving around the bays looking at the waves, my windscreen was covered in froth. And the waves aren’t even that good…go that optimism. Read more about Damo

"Riding a 6’1" machined shaped surfboard everyday is like the musical equivalent of listening to Brittany Spears everyday. There is nothing wrong with Brittany but you’ll be a more rounded person if you took in a little Dub Reggae, Twisted Folk and Punk rock. You’ll be a more rounded surfer if you mix up more equipment and today is just the day to do some surfing experimentation. It is a beautiful warm day (top of 21′?) with water temp at 19′. So grab a 70’s single fin, 80’s twinny or 90’s chunky thruster and try some new moves on the many and varied banks we have been blessed with at Bondi today.

At the north end we have some 1"- 2"ft left hand peelers at Mirra Kirra that will only get better with the high tide (3.00pm?). There is at left hand bank in front of the Pavilion that winds into an excellent shorey. Off the same rip there is a right good for mals. The skate ramp left is the favorite of the crowd today that is being fed by a rip that is trying its hardest to re-build the right hand supa bank we had this time 2 years ago. The icebergs left is working and throwing the odd tube as it runs into smugglers cove into front of the barrier reef but be warned is you try and surf this spot as it has a treacherous rip and is jealously guarded by some angry locals, one in particular known as ‘Hawkeye’." Later, Damo
