After all the hype, for some strange reason I thought it was a good idea to watch Wolf Creek last night. That flick is all messed up…a bit today’s surf conditions – dark & disturbing. After driving around in circles for 45 minutes checking every beach I didn’t see anything resembling a decent wave – nor did I see a single sole in the water at 6:30am.

SO – I’ve dug through the photo archives once again to find the darkest images to match this bogan acca/dacca black background…if you’re checking this on the website and not the daily email you’ll have no idea what I am talking about.

Day 5 of this storm is testing our patience…and there is no relief until Wednesday. Thankfully it seems loads of sand is moving around…pray for the return of the supa-bank.

SMH.com.au reports – On Saturday a 27 year old Malabar surfer died surfing Coogee. Full circumstances are unknown as he was found unconscious in the water around 5pm. Condolences to friends and family. With all the hype about big wave surfing at the mo – take care in the big stuff.

Ps :: The Blackmores Sydney Running Festival is on Sunday 17 September. It’s about the only opportunity you’ll get to legally dash across the Sydney Harbour bridge – and you don’t have to do it nude at 4 a.m. after a big night (We’re not streakin’ Frank). Check it
