Finally those insistent onshores backed off allowing for surfable conditions. It wasn’t Hollywood at 6am – thought it was going to be better…a massive rip in the south made me earn my keep whilst trying to shoot in the water. Bad idea.

Waves broke around 4 foot, okay maybe the odd bigger set. But she’s real wonky on the early morning low tide. Hard to hold your position. Drove past around 10am for another sneak, and yup it got a heap better. Cleaner. Lining up better. So um. Go surf kids – best bump all week as it will decline from here. The sun is shining with variable winds.

Low tide 6am, High tide 12:30pm, great day with twenty-1, water still 19. Fine weather for days and days now as a big fat High covers most of Australia.

People have been trying to convince me for ages that Yoga and Pilates is the key to ripping in the surf. Well if you’re getting a bit stiff from all that office jockey work (ya), Elise is running Pilates classes down at Tamarama SLSC. Wednesdays 6:45pm or Thursday 6:45am. Just call Elise 0414 333 571
