Noosafest.
Alright I’ll ‘fess up. Don’t know a great deal about longboarding.
Haven’t ridden a board longer than 6 foot in years. But up here
at the Noosa
festival of Surfing
the longer the better. The older the better.
The cruzieer the better. Everything is slowed down a couple of notches.
Everyone has time for a chat.

Today is the third day of the competition which includes
a large contingency from Hawaii (Dave Kalama, Bonga Perkins, Keone
Downing and Brian Keaulana). Swells dropped from yesterday. Breaking
around 2 foot off first point…perfect if you’re riding 9 feet
of fiberglass. Festival runs all week…pray the mini swell hangs
around…some fun events coming up including Stand Up Paddle Boarding
and Tandem surfing.

Bondi.
From a thousand k’s away…Bondi looks small…onshore/sideshore,
messy’n’weak 2 foot. Winds would have been SE this
morning, but will swing NE this afternoon. Go later…tomorrow smaller
but cleaner. Prediction – nothing substantial on the radar…yawn.

Bowl-a-rama
Vid.

Couple of Saturday’s ago Bowl-a-Rama went down at Bondi’s skate
park. Thanks to Damion Fuller (presenting), Linda Benson (filming/editing),
Ian Gardiner (Viocorp)
for this little vid
of the day
.
