Bulla. Last report from this 4 hectares of paradise. Another perfect day up here with best waves of the week. Hell you know it’s good when all the island staff (including the owner) are out surfing. Namotu has a good selection of waves that will suit everybody from fast pipey rights to cruisy Mal-lefts. The water is ridiculously clear everyday – it is just off the scale and on par with Tahiti as the clearest in the world. Water temperature is approx 25-26 everyday. Paradise.
The lucky island owner Scottie O’Connor has had the island for 12 years. He stumbled across it when he was shooting a commercial in the nineties. It only had one tree on it back then due to violent cyclones. Scottie was Australia’s 1st professional windsurfer (KA02) and is originally a Narrabeen boy. He’s not afraid either, seen some pics of him charging 30 foot out the front of his island.
