After a very busy day in Bondi it’s all gone quiet. 150,000 people rocked into Bondi yesterday, 70,000 for the City To Surf Fun Run. Waves were tiny and a weak 2 foot, if you waited long enough you’ll find the odd rideable one. Only 3 guys out, blanketing sunshine but bitterly cold – must be snowing in ‘dem mountains as the westerly offshore bites. The great news is that waves will pick up later today (to approximately 3 foot) then for the rest of the week we’ve got waves and offshores. Yep. True. So a great week of surfing lays ahead, Sunday is looking big.
Few drinks on the street yesterday at Brighton Boulevard were shut down by the whole NSW police department. Never seen so many police in Bondi. view photos by Jesse English
