A cracker sunrise today - Winter Skies

daybreak

I am well aware that you probably don’t get as excited as I do about glowing sunrises. See…we haven’t had a decent one since 6th December 2006 (to be exact). I know…I am there pretty much every day. From 5:50am I tracked this baked pink cloud and it only lasted for 3-4 minutes before transforming back into dull grey clouds.

Sensational morning with small waves (1-2ft) as the swell faded overnight. Great day for beginners as its calm and clean with gentle offshore winds. Tomorrow looks pretty flat and so does Friday. Friday night the swell comes up and you’ll find waves around 6 foot on Saturday. But the wind will flank, so you’ll need protected corners such as Manly.

Have a great day. If you want to buy a framed print of the sunrise today click here to order online :: uge

  2. Hey Uge. I’m in Hobart at the moment, the surf has been pumping! But, I hear Shipsterns is breaking today. You know any photographers in Tas who can get shots??

    Cheers
