Big chunks rolling in.

Big chunks

The swell has kicked up overnight and waves are breaking around 6 foot. Small time Bondi isn’t handling the new big conditions well – max’d out. In fact I couldn’t find anything worth surfing along all the eastern suburbs beaches.

North Bondi has a confused 3 foot hollow left that predominantly shuts down. Bronte was a large washing machine with random wide sets. The Bra was decent but fat in the middle. Far southern corner not getting this south swell. But…somewhere is totally on fire right now…and I would put my money on it that if you were to hit the northern beaches you’d find something decent.

For the people that like stats, we’ve got a South swell (no east origin any more). Period 10 seconds. Winds currently NW 8km/h. High tide 4:33am, low tide 10am high tide 4:38pm. Sunrise is 6am. Sunset 17:50pm. Max land temperature of 17 degrees. Low of 7 degrees.

The forecast for tomorrow is to continue to be extra large and a bit more east in it (better for wrapping into those nooks and crannies). With WNW winds, dang, take the day off and drive around until you find something good. ::uge
