Cracker sunrise this morning.Best 1 yet for 2009

Utopia

Sunrises seem to memorize people. Bit like seeing a whale. When it’s a good sunrise everyone stops in their tracks, jaws drop, heads tilt as they stare into the burning inferno – a lot like a Roo in your headlights. Today’s sunrise was a cracker – best one yet for 2009.

We’re so fortunate that we live in a city where you can hack a 2 foot shorey under pink skies then be at your cubicle by 8am. We are lucky it’s a warm 23 degrees very early today and the water is a perfect 21 degrees. Max today 30. Ok so the waves aren’t pumping (2ft), and it doesn’t look crash hot for the weekend – but – there is something brewing next Tuesday (hopefully the southerly onshores won’t flank it).

Enjoy today – it’s such a fine day and there is a little bump to ride.

Aquabumps Gallery– the new gallery is, as always, open all weekend from 10am to 6pm both Sat/Sun. Seeing it’s going to be 33 degrees all weekend you will be down the beach…come by, we’ve got air cond…yes air cond ‘cause it’s going to be cooking on the sand. 1. I’m just thankful you are always there to capture it Uge.

So when I sleep in, I don’t miss out on the dawn goodness.

Another great shot – nice work fella.

  2. Simply beautiful sunrise shots today…….you probably know about us word perves, so have to confess I spotted ‘memorize’ instead of ‘mesmerize’, but again maybe everybody is trying to remember them too!

Keep up the great work, as you have us mesmerized too with the fantastic shots coming through! 😉

  3. Thanks a lot for that Uge! Dawn here in London consisted of the grey and white sky meeting a grey and white ground with only the occasional permanent wave on a blue rinse to liven things up. Still the temperature has soared to 2 degrees, so that’s good.

  4. Damn you Aussies, you are very lucky.

I lived in Sydney for a couple of years and now in my cubicle in Santiago de Chile, far away from the sea, I have to say that I miss “hack a 2 foot shorey under pink skies then be at your cubicle by 8am”.

    Cheers from Chile.
