Geurs and his bunny-hops

Depleted

After the weekend’s decent supply of south swell, its finally ran out of puff.

Bondi was 1-2 foot this morning, clean, but exceptionally weak. Very low crowd numbers in the water early – gotta love Mondays. Just unbelievable about the 3rd shark attack on 15 year old Andrew Lindop up at Avalon yesterday. He’s now recovering well at Royal North Shore.

The forecast for the week is looking disappointing. Mostly sub 2 foot. But Friday/Saturday something is cooking for Sydney. Stay tuned.

Quiky Pro

The Quiksilver Pro up at the Goldie, World Tour event Number 1, is suffering the same small wave fate as Sydney. I had planned to head up there but forecast looks small small small. They ran Round 1 at DBah on Sat as opposed to Snapper due to small conditions. Today they’re running the girls and the mens is off. Kelly Slater paddled out on a 5’4” that he shaped himself. He tore the 2 footers to shreds as he starts another campaign for a 10th world title. Watch video of Slater on 5’4”. Bigpond TV will be covering all the action from Goldie…you can view past heats, highlights etc all online.

  1. BigPond is #&*%^! – “This video is not available in your territory. Please try another video.”
How sad is that? – Coming up with some kind of “oh so fresh” video portal but limiting it to specific countries. – Kind of typical for large corporations. Don’t you think?
