Robbie Stutz, tearing the wave of the day

Chug

Small little wave chuggin’ in the corner at Bondi this morning (1 small foot, maybe 2). Looked inconsistent, uncrowded and weak. Interesting day though, the wave period pushes up to 17 seconds later today – but wave heights remain small. Might see a small spike in swell later, but I’d assume long waits between waves. Max 22 on land, 19 in water, S/SE winds 10/15 knots which will kick around to the NE later.

High tide 6am, low tide 12pm, high tide 6pm (symmetrical)

Manly Surfing Festival

After years of talk – the 1st Manly Festival of surfing kicks off November 5-8th 2009. It’s a 4 day event embracing all things surfing.
I’d suggest seeing the Celebrity Surf Challenge, 2pm Sunday 8 November Occy vs Carroll vs Hardman, Beachley vs Burridge, Daddo vs Daddo to name a few. More: www.manlyfestivalofsurfing.com.au

Heats in the Beach Road Hotel Single Fin Classic are full.

There are no more places left in the contest, but spectators are invited to come and rock out out with the live music and DJ’s. It’s a day not to be missed. For any more details: ben@grandronde.tv

PS – don’t forget the Australian Surf Film Festival hits Bondi tonight more
