Cirrus clouds, threatening a thunderstorm later today

Cirrus

On 1st light it looked flat out there…but around 8am I saw a mini-pulse push in the odd wave. The school-holiday-groms were all over it. 1-2 foot today, sunny and hot. 29 degrees. Seeing most of you are on holidays – hit the beach, it’s a good one.

Thin, wispy, high altitude cirrus clouds show warning of a shower and thunderstorm later today (looking out the window right now, I find that hard to believe).

Next swell due – Christmas Day (of course it is…and you’ll probably won’t see any of it as you’ll be mid-relatives bash out west)

The Aquabumps Gallery is packed and open until Christmas eve for the last minute gifts (every day 10am to 6pm). We’re closed between Christmas Eve and New Year’s. You’ll find us at 151 Curlewis Street Bondi Beach Telephone 02 9130 7788. You can view our online catalogue here.

There is a new board store on Campbell parade – Bondi Underground where the old Mambo shop was. Drop by and check it out.

North Bondi SLSC
are rebuilding their club house. I know you’ve all grown attached to those lovely poo-brown bricks and shapeless form that is plonked on our beach, but the grand plan is incredible (if you get a chance, look at the proposed designs – amazing). For years now they’ve been raising funds for the new build. Well the club has released a calendar “North Bondi Warriors” flashin’ the flesh of its 2000 members. They cost $19.95 and you can order online here. Please support.

  1. Hi Uge
I really enjoy receiving your daily photo’s. I am based in Bristol, UK, so it is good to see your sunshine during our winter (for that matter during our summer too).

I am curious to understand how you obtain the photographs that appear to be flying about 2 metres above the surfer.

    Thanks

    CB
