Lake Bondi

Static

Very rare to see the ocean this flat. I know sometimes I say it’s tiny, or flat and there still is ankle biters or knee cappers….well today when I say it’s flat, there’s basically no movement in the ocean at all…like a lake…caputo…zip…nada…pancakes. It actually looked quite odd…can’t remember the last time it was this static.

The wind is angry and howling 35 knots from the west. It’s cold on the land but much warmer in the water. The lifeguard tower has 20 degrees for water temp. Impressive. Fortunately the waves return tomorrow as a south swell kicks in (3 footers). Looks like fun. Nobody around…looks like everyone’s split already. Not us, the Aquabumps Gallery is open 10am to 6pm all week until xmas eve.

Xmas pressie idea – What about a flight above Sydney’s beaches on the Red Baron with Joel – upside down of course.

Good bye, :: uge
