Nice colour spray above Ben Buckler

Bondi Colour

Nice sky of colour to kick today off. Bondi was a hive of activity at 6:30am. Plenty doing their regular thing. Optimistic crew fighting over leftovers in the surf. Only 1-2 footers on offer today, so no need to rush down. If anything, go for a swim…as it’s just that good. (25)

Can you swim 60 laps of Bondi?

Lucky the water is warm at the moment for Chloe McCardel. Who she? She’s a girl who is planning on swimming 60 laps across Bondi Beach on 24th April 2011. (total distance 48k). No, that is not a typo….forty eight kilometres. The current record for swimming laps of Bondi is 50 held equally by Des Renford, Cyril Baldock and Tammy van Wisse.

The Aquabumps Gallery Easter Closure

By now you all know we have a gallery. Well, I hope so. It’s in Bondi and is big with all our best images hanging on the walls. We’ve had a gallery for 6 years now…time flies huh. Anyhow, it’s closed for Easter. That’s Fridee,Sat’dee, Sundee all the way thru to Tuesday CLOSED – reopening on Wednesday. So if you want anything, come today or tomorrow 10am to 6pm. You’ll find us at 151 Curlewis Street, Bondi Beach telephone 02 9130 7788. Still lost?

  1. ‘teach ya son to surf and he dropsin” and you don’t mind it one bit, its always a joy to share a wave with your young fella if only just to see his face beaming when he flicks out

  2. This is a real new style for you (bottom shot). I really like it. Your little baby is going to change your art so much as your life is changed. It’s personal and it’s real. It’s fresh. It’s there. You’re taking us with you and I definitely want to be in that bottom shot!!!

  3. Hey Uge commenting from lake Taupo New Zealand do you have any tips on using camera housings in the water thanks Hamish.

  4. Hi uge,

Bondi looks awesome – amazing shots as always… although it makes me homesick!

    G’day from Lebanon!
