Looks good for a little swell

CX Swell Check

Planes can’t land in Sydney until after the 6 a.m. curfew. This actually is quite good ‘cause the pilots trawl up and down the coast awaiting their shot at the runway. Sitting in a window seat on CX111 I could check the surf from Buggeries to Garie. It was quite obvious, even from a decent height, the swell is coming from the east now. Not so good for Bondi (floppy 2 footers), better for other beaches facing the swell where you’d find 3 footers. East swells aren’t too common this time of year and are more prolific in summer. If you didn’t know it was August, you’d swear we are having a cracker Summer’s day! Go outside – it’s 24!

One things for sure, after spending 4 days waking up to millions of Chinese honking their horns in an industrial city filled with smog and concrete – it’s damn good to get down to Bondi this morning –

  1. Great shots as always … Always get a little bit of relaxation and perspective every day from your email.

Good stuff for this little office cubicle farmer!

  2. Hey Uge, heard your name and A Bumps mentioned on the nightly news last night. Rreporting on the new Speedo Range. Great work!

  3. Dude I am in Beijing right now and I am amazed at how happy and content the Pekinese seem to be. Yes there’s some honking and the sky is a dodgy beige but all in all they seem very happy with their lot.

Must be the post Olympic glow Sydney had for a while.

    I do miss Bondi.
