The wait...

Dawn Dip

There was a little right hand wave in the middle of Bondi. Packed and a little dangerous but fun. The bank looks good.

Was a pleasure going for a dawn dip…water is clear and decent temp (rubber still required). Southerly is gonna blow 20 knots this arvo whipping up a bit of swell for the ‘morrow…

See you then! :: uge

  1. It is always so strange to see the longboarders with leashes on! Is that exceptable in Oz? In the US you get instantly burned and sometimes yelled out of the water if you wear a leash with your longboard. Most LBs in the states are made without the leash plug!

    Great shots Uge!

    1. Chris, I am an Aussie longboarder living in the US (Gulf Coast FL) and all the LB riders here wear leggies. I previously lived in VA Beach and they all wore them there too. You must be in California

  2. Yes I am in California and I have spent time in both FL and VA and never understand why guys would wear leggies in the smaller surf of the right coast of USA. I have seen/surfed 10’+ days with no leggie just fine. Plus, how are you supposed to cross-step, hand-stand, tombstone, yoda, or other LB moves with a leggie strapped to you? Don’t get it. Lose the Kook cord please 🙂

  4. Chris, it’s great that you care so much about what other people do. Next time we’ll all make sure we surf for you!

  5. Thanks Gavin! Just make sure if your loggin to not be wearing a kook cord 😉 Oh and if you are surfing for me then please make sure to actually get your toes over the edge 😉
