Pama Davies, remote beach, last week

M I X

I’m back in Bondi after a week on the road and was greeted with a good old colourful sunrise. It’s great to see it’s not raining here. Boy…the Gold Coast rained for days making it hard for the Quiky Pro which is currently running the girls. Looks like some swell later in the week should get the comp fired up.

Bondi’s waves this morning looked really bad with an East onshore wind. It is now 11:30am and the winds are more NE making it cleaner and there is the odd 2-3 footer out there. This morning I sat and waited for someone to get a wave for 30 minutes – nup, nuttin…so I wondered back home.

Today’s shots are a mix of Bondi this morning and some water captures of the boiz punting at a pretty remote beach.

  1. dude, whats the point of driving all the way up to Snapper and then leaving before the start of the Quicky Pro? plenty of photo opportunities surely?

    1. Hi Ian, to be honest, not really. It rained for 3 full days that I was there. I am not talking a sprinkle…I am talking torrential. Also the surf was too small…so really not much too shoot.

So I opted to bail and fly back up perhaps when the swell is on, which looks like this weekend. I’d like to laze around all day and wait for it – but kinda have busy business!

      1. Hey Uge, fair comment…good to hear you planning to head back up..girls were ripping today! looking forward to the men hitting the water!
