Camp Cove, harbourside, 7am today

C A M P

This morning Bondi Beach looked horrible…onshore, 4-6 foot, wet. Didn’t see anyone surfing so I ventured inland…yeah I know, crazy huh? I ended up at Watson’s Bay Camp Cove. Camp Cove is a nice little harbour side beach. It’s quiet. It’s the end of the road before hitting the opening to Sydney harbour so it feels isolated. Famous people live here…film directors, advertising legends, property developers, shopping centre owners and even Bondi’s version of David Hasselhoff has a fair chunk of beach frontage. If you haven’t been, go…it’s real nice…good luck getting a car park as most of the suburb is locked down for local residents only.

Doing your Christmas shopping? How about an acrylic desk block from our Aquabumps Gallery. We have around 60 in stock at the moment but can easily custom print any of my images for you and get it made in time for Chrissy (if you order REALLY soon). They cost $250…good to freight overseas (weighing around 3kgs) and they come in our fancy hand made boxes. No…no steak knives. See

Had a long chat with Osher Gunserberg last week and he recorded the lot and made it into a podcast. Listen in here to see what two guys can ramble on about after 2 java hits.

The surf looks good tomorrow…dang.

  1. Sitting at home recovering from surgery…. Listening to you and Osher is exactly what the doctor ordered. Thank you Eugene. It’s inspiring to know you are running fabulous business with no ego. You are a perfect example of what u give passionately comes back.
    U are the bomb Uge…

  2. Uge, your an inspiration to the world mate. Not just Bondi. You took the punt and started your own dream (business) out of passion…..and you haven’t deviated from what you set up to do. Take amazing photo’s and share them with the rest of the world. The world being Bondi through your lens.

In a world where people spend their entire life working for people they don’t like in a job they really hate, there is you……giving hope to everyone to chase your dream and enjoy life on the way.

    Bitchin first photo….

    I wish I had discovered you earlier . . . . . . .

  3. Great call. Gotta love Watson’s Bay. There is a little octopus that lives to the right of where your ghost is climbing. Get your snorkel and watch him working the rocks! He creeps up to each hollow and the BANG he sends a blast of water to stun whatever might be in there!

Keep up the good work – although looking at your images from freezing Yorkshire is a kind of torment!

    cheers
    David

  4. Uge, I’ll admit I’m not a surfer chick……but what I am is someone who believes in following your dreams through hard work and consistency. That’s what I took away from your chat with Osher Gunsberg on the podcast. Honestly, if it hadn’t been for that I might never have heard of Aquabumps!

All the best Uge enjoy living your dream xx
