Clear skies for dayz and dayz, Bronte this morning 7:00am

Solar Powered

These sunny days just keep comin’. I reckon we’ve had around 100 sunny days this winter (and only 2 or 3 rainy days). Magic isn’t it?

The surf was good earlier, but the wind is in now. We’ve been thriving off this small south swell that has been here for 5 or 6 days. Most beaches in the East have had something fun to surf.

Today I shot with 2 new Canon lenses. I never shoot wide any more, but this new ultra wide zoom got me excited (11mm to 24mm F4). It’s a huge chunk of glass…but shoots a super sharp image and doesn’t distort like those ancient fisheyes. The 2nd lens was the updated version of the 100-400mm. In the past I wouldn’t consider shooting a long zoom – as I find prime lenses so much sharper…but the geeks at Canon have sprinkled some magic on this bad boy – sharp as! Nice and small bit of kit to climb rocks and sand dunes with.

‘Nuf geek talk.

  1. That stick is a loaded Variegated Agave Americana about to unload a thousand pups all over the embankment and outcompete the local indigenous vegetation…….once the flowers finished….looks great though! Jason that bodyboarder you dropped in on’s mother just bought an apartment off you?! That’s not very nice….!!.
