Ah…finally a morning with some raw sunlight to shoot – bonus! Sensational warm morning – and everyone was up early to welcome it.
Waves – we’ve got some. Tamarama and Bronte looked pretty wild while Bondi had some OKish fat 3ft runners in the southern corner. It’s not pumping, but worthy of a paddle.
This Friday at sunrise Prince Harry and Megs (+1) are rocking into Bondi for a wave with the Fluro gang. Yep, they’ve heard about our rip bowl in the south. Are you going to be one of the thousands of crew coming down to see Harry get shacked on the shorey? Oh gosh, Friday’s are usually hectic at Bondi – but – this Friday is gonna be crazy. I’d expect helicopters, secret service, Seals and SAS all swimming with me this Friday. There will be high head waves on Friday – so I hope Harry can swim against a powerful rip.
Cigarettes, drink containers and takeaway food packaging makes up more than half of the litter found across Australia. So, Bondi is changing the way it eats! Celebrate the launch of Plastic Free Bondi on Saturday, October 20th with eco-artist Marina DeBris and environmental scientist and model Laura Wells, who will be modelling one of Marina’s ‘Trashion’ artworks made of discarded takeaway packaging. Plus, there will be live music, face painting and plenty of solutions to plastic pollution! Full details can be found here
