Double Demerits

Hey, happy new year! 2019 is your year – I know it.

Like many people from Sydney, in particular Bondi-ites, we made the summer pilgrimage to the magical Cape Byron. It’s a decent drive and the major A1 upgrade is only half finished – I still can’t believe all that traffic funnels through 50km/hr zones and tiny single lanes. Hectic. Don’t speed – double demerits and speed cameras everywhere.

Byron has been pumping on land and in the water. Jonson street is rammed, bars and cafes overflowing. Tallows had some fun ones – but yes, busier than our Bondi line up if you can believe it. You definitely need to get away from the town to find some surfing solace.

My posts may be a little sporadic this week as I’m touring the NSW coast by road.

Just easing into the year…take care.
