Whitsundays

I’m in the dreamy Whitsundays, land of the white sandy beaches and coral reefs. 74 islands hang 55 kilometres off the Queensland coast, inside the Great Barrier Reef.

The best way to see the archipelago is definitely by boat weaving in and out of the islands, hiding from the wind. It kinda reminds me a bit of Croatia’s Dalmatian Coast. (Sans the beach clubs).

There are only 8 islands that house resorts and they’re not all open for biz, the rest are uninhabited, untouched islands. They claim the best beach in Australia is here – Whitehaven – with the whitest sand – but it would be up there if it had a few waves!

Water temp: 23 degrees, Land temp 23 degrees.
