intermission

On Saturday, we had a brief pause from the rain – what a treat! I hope you finally got outside without the gumboots. The waves also cleaned up on the weekend, and most of Sydney was on the cook.

Today – well, today…it’s back to 15 knots of southeasterly onshore and a large storm saturating Sydney. So let’s hope it’s not as bad as last week – I can’t see this storm clearing until Thursday.

Week SummaryMonday & Tuesday – work hard, missing nothing (horrible beach conditions). Wednesday – could be offshore and massive (like three times head high – so hellmen only). Thursday & Friday – finally decent weather for your morning surf, swim and beach time. Next weekend? No rain so far, small waves – dry out all your damp items.

The Volvo Ocean Lovers Festival, March 12 & 13 2022 at Bondi Beach, is jam-packed with free fun and activities for all the family. Swim through a Crayweed forest in the Icebergs pool, dance to ocean-loving bands in Bondi Park, drive underwater drones or attend the ocean lab workshops. Bondi Park hosts a market showcasing ocean-friendly products plus catch a Trashion Parade on Saturday and a free open-air sunset screening of “Girls Can’t Surf”.
