It’s a rockstar day down at Bondi – there’s plenty to like about it.
The left at Ramp 2 was throwing out small but very rippable walls. The groms were glued to it like seagulls on a hot chip. Not huge, shoulder-high on the sets at best, but the shape was a little nugget of perfection.
The sun is blazing, ubiquitous, warming up the beach vibes – welcome to spring. The water felt friendlier than it has of late, though if you paddled out before sunrise, that cheeky wind chill still had some bite.
Down at Ramp Dos, the TAMA TOUCH gang are going for a world record – a 36-hour game of touch footy to raise funds for Beyond Blue. That’s the mob dedicated to supporting mental health across Australia, giving people the tools and support they need when things get heavy.
And how about Aussie surfing right now? We now have an Australian women’s world champ – YEAH MOLLY! What a complete weapon. On the men’s side, Yago Dora clinched it, and his surfing is on another level.
P.S. For this week only, we’re still running our epic deal: grab the Aquabumps Book and score a complimentary Spirit Malt gift. Numbers are tight.
