The NE swell’s in town — but it’s not doing much for ol’ Bondi (she faces south, remember). That warm summer breeze is puffing from the northeast too, the kind that smells like sunscreen and beach towels. It’s going to be a dreamy 26 °C today — yes, summer’s creeping in.
Waves? Rare. Maybe a rogue 1/2-footer every ten minutes if you’re lucky. A small army of 100-litre foamies had full control of the lineup, frothing on anything that even hinted a bump.
Bondi’s starting to shift gears — more humans, more noise, more matcha lattes and lycra. I love this time of year. The place just hums. Chaos for some, goldmine for a photographer. Every corner, every sunrise, every splash — something to shoot.
