After the rain, the shine.
The sunshine’s back, and it bloomed into a cracker of a morning around the beaches. A sneaky 5 a.m. shower must’ve scared everyone off — the regulars scored an empty beach, empty peaks, and clearing skies by about 7 a.m.
The surf? Bit of fool’s gold. Bondi had some rip bowls, chest-to-shoulder high, but mostly shutting down. The peak down south was the go. Maccas broke but didn’t hold. Tama was Tama — wobbly and weird. And the Bronte reef was full of the Reddam surf squad paddling plenty, riding not so much.
3 / 10 for surfing. 10 / 10 for swimming.
As I write this (unusually late, 2 p.m.), the wind’s up to 13 knots onshore. Tide’s high, head-high mush rolling in — nothing too inspiring. Feels like we need a new sandbank setup. Forecast looks small for the next couple of weeks.
You’d look good in one of our tees — printed locally, small runs, pure Bondi.
