High Tide Hijack

There was promise of an overnight swell bump, but I’m pretty sure the 7:48 am high tide swallowed it whole for the sunrise crew. There’s a wave if you’re riding a 100-litre aircraft carrier, and yes—three banks are technically “in operation”—but wow, it is BUSY. After a long run of tiny surf, everyone’s twitching for a slide. It’s ok… breathe… it’ll come good.

The sandbanks aren’t doing us any favours either—lumps and holes in all the wrong places. The water is still chilly, too. Even though the land will hit 24, I’m still wearing rubber.

The good news? A couple of beautiful sunny days ahead—classic spring.

Christmas is 37 days away (five weeks!). This year has evaporated. You know the drill: if you’re after custom-made artwork from the Aquabumps gallery, the cut-offs are looming. You can see them here.

If you’re in London, NYC, LA or anywhere outside Australia, I’ll need your framed-art orders in over the next two weeks. It takes 2–3 weeks to hand-craft, frame and ship your piece—delivered to your doorstep on a silk pillow.
