Sand blast

The wind was gale force this morning. I honestly can’t remember it ever being so strong that it stopped my morning roam altogether. Shooting pics was hard work. Nearly got blown off my bike a couple of times by savage gusts. Not a single Lime Bike left standing in the entire suburb.

They’re calling it 30 knots… felt stronger. Sand blasting eyes along the promenade cleared that joint out real quick.

The forecast was for enormous surf, but it’s come in relatively subdued at 4–6 foot. No one out, obviously — your board would blow clean out of your hands before you even hit the water.

It should ease later today, with the sun popping out this arvo. A super cool day too, 19–21 degrees, very un-summer-like.

Saturday, on the other hand, was pure gold. Crystal-clear warm blue water, no wind, one of those days. Most of these pics are from weekend wanderings.
