Mellow morning with mellow little waves.
Quite the staple of the past few weeks.
There was a hint of a sunrise early, but it kept getting smothered by thicker clouds rolling through.
Expect a top of 26° today with a small chance of a sprinkle this arvo. The waves were in the waist to chest (ok… small person’s chest) range. Plenty of takers, not many makers — about 4–5 punters per wave and a slightly chaotic lineup.
Did you know we sell surfboards? Well, technically… art-boards.
They’ve got my photographic prints inlaid on the deck and are hand-polished to within an inch of their life. They’re beautiful things and we’ve been shipping them all over the globe — Mexico, London, the USA, and this week one’s heading to Germany.
Hang it on the wall, or surf it. Your call.
Each one is 100% hand-shaped and handcrafted by the legendary father-and-son team at Campbell Designed in Noosa, with one of my prints laminated into the board.
Our current plan shape is a 6’6″ middie, which would actually be pretty perfect for the soft little runners on offer this morning.
