After a week in remote Indonesia, I’m back on the Bondi morning ritual program.
Bondi was eerily empty this morning. That little 6am rain squall must’ve absolutely slayed motivation — not a soul on the beach, no swimmers, barely a surfer. Full ghost town vibes.
The winds are onshore, it’s waist-head dribble, but there are a few rideable corners if you’re desperate. The upside? The whole beach is yours.
Looking ahead: a fairly ordinary week of onshores, passing showers, and those annoying “is it raining / is it not?” kind of days.
Ok, while I’ve got your attention…
We’re in full-tilt annual fundraising mode for our SurfAid Cup team. My kids, my staff, and I are trying to raise a few bucks for one of our favourite charities, SurfAid.
I was on a remote Indonesian island last week where they operate, and seeing the realities up there first-hand only reinforced what a bloody good job they do.
Aquabumps has always been a free service — no paywall, no subscription, just waves, words and the odd silly caption delivered daily — so if you’ve ever enjoyed it, I’d absolutely love if you could spare a few bob.
It’s for us, my groms, and more importantly, the kids and families in remote Indo who genuinely benefit from SurfAid’s work.
To sweeten the pot: any donation over $100 goes into the draw to win a $1500 artwork of your choice from my gallery.
We’re only a couple of weeks out, so… pretty please? We’re only at $500 of our target $20,000.
Terima kasih,
