What the waves lacked, the sunrise made up for.
Cracker this morning — did you see it?
I’ve got little sunrise spies planted everywhere, feeding me intel when the sky’s about to go mad. Today, the spies were bang on: plenty of high cloud, plenty of colour, all around 6:40am… and it barely lasted a few minutes. Blink, and you’d miss it.
It’s been a long time overdue. I remember winters and autumns where we’d get 2-3 belters a week. Lately? I reckon the last proper one was 1-2 months ago.
Waves were lacklustre, as expected this week. 1-2 foot, with the middle bank looking best — every 100-litre rider in town out there having a ball.
A little warmer today too: top of 21, minimum 16. Looks like drizzle may roll in around dinner.
Tiny bit bigger tomorrow with a chance of early offshore winds.
