Crowd Control

The shark alarm sounded at 7:05am at Bondi this morning. Within minutes, the lifeguards were on the rescue ski clearing everyone out of the water after spotting a white shark cruising close to shore.

Pretty scary stuff. One of my boys was out there at the time, and the shark came in close. It makes you appreciate just how many eyes we have on the water these days. Lifeguards, drones, helicopters and locals all play their part.

Needless to say, the waves looked very good (head high)… but you won’t find any surfers in today’s photos. They all bailed.

There’s a slight onshore breeze on it now, adding a bit of texture, but I’d be heading to a south-facing beach (minus the shark alarm), and I reckon you’ll find plenty of surfing joy today.

Feels like yesterday we were dodging summer crowds. Now we’re talking about the shortest days of the year. June 30 is only a week away, which means our complimentary EOFY size upgrade finishes then too. Want to know more? You’d be mad not to take us up on this one. Mad.
