I know everyone’s a little apprehensive about entering the water after the recent spate of shark sightings. I am. I’ve even noticed a few Bondi regulars, people who’ve been surfing at sunrise for years, still haven’t returned to the water.
Everyone’s a bit spooked and wide-eyed out there, constantly checking what’s moving beneath them.
But good waves will make people forget almost anything. This morning, plenty shrugged it off and paddled out for a few – looked fun. It was 3 foot, fast and a little bit straighty-180, but there were some fun ones if you picked the right line.
Sunny, reasonably warm for this time of year and absolutely beautiful down the beach.
Maximum 18 degrees, minimum 9. And get this – five straight days of sunshine after today.
