Welcome to this 25-degree Thursday.
Everyone was up early this morning, enjoying the warmth. The first properly warm morning we’ve had since last summer. Wasn’t it nice? Hope you got down for a swim or a little surf.
There was a wave on, but nothing spectacular. Around 1-2 foot and a lot of people didn’t even bother. On the right tide, you might jag a few on a high-volume surf vehicle. Good conditions for beginners or anyone just cruising.
There’s a bit of a mixture of swells in the bay, but really, it’s not doing much. Winds are WNW, around 10 knots, with a few stronger gusts this morning that ruffled Bondi up a little. Water is 18 degrees.
We’re heading for 25 degrees today, with a minimum of 16 tonight. Tomorrow cools down to 21, but Saturday is shaping up to be a banger – 29 degrees! Definitely a beach day before we drop back to 21 on Sunday. I’d be making plans to get salty Saturday.
WHITE CLAW BIG WAVE SERIES
Tonight we’re having a few White Claws at the Aquabumps Gallery, from 6pm-8pm at 64 Hall Street, Bondi Beach.
I’ve recently shot a series of empty waves that resemble the White Claw logo. Angry slabs, big plumes and plenty of ocean energy. They’re up on the gallery walls tonight. See BTS
Everyone is welcome.
Hope to see you tonight.
Have a great day.
