Da Pass

It’s been nearly four weeks since I’ve picked up a camera. Let’s call it a digital detox + long service leave combined.

I’ve been posting up this daily Aquabumps thing for nearly 21 years now, so a little ‘tools down’ really freshens things up.

I’m going to surface here, beautiful Byron Bay in peak summer. Yes, we’re back on! Daily photos will flow for 2020 and quench your salty appetites.

Byron is a crazy joint. A small town of 10,000 residents that swells up in summer – hosting over 2 million tourists a year. The Pass is where most hang, a special place. Yesterday you could easily surf a wave that was 300-400 metres long. Impossible to paddle back against in the incoming currents, so a long walk back to the point is your only return.

Hope you all had a great festive season. Cheers to 2020! :: uge

P.S. We raised $10,000 for those affected by bushfires on our Instagram auction via @hearts_on_fire_x (Experience auction No.2). Thanks to all those that bid.
