I shot one lousy photograph of Bondi this morning. It’s 100% onshore, pouring with rain, and 2-3 foot. Oh, what a mess! A gruesome beach day. Surely you’ve got some work to catch up on; I assume you surfed your brains out on that last swell.
Today’s beach inspiration comes from my recent trip to Western Australia. Even though I was born over there, it’s embarrassing how little I have shot the place.
The watercolours of Rottnest are similar to the Maldives. They just don’t look real. The city beaches are squeaky clean and often empty. It is, however, a waveless city in Summer (in comparison to Sydney). That is unless you have a boat or prepared to spend a lot of time down south.
