Uesi

The original forecasts were for another super-soaker, like last weekend, from approaching Tropical Cyclone Uesi. I was expecting 50mm of rain today and another 50 tomorrow (Sydney). It’s recently changed…

Uesi’s path looks like it’s going out to sea towards Lord Howe as it comes down from Queensland, so it won’t get too close to Sydney, but we will still get a bit of rain (not 100mm anymore) and the best bit – big waves.

Tomorrow afternoon & Saturday morning expect real chunky waves in the 6-8 foot range.

This morning wasn’t my most memorable shoot. The light was dark, the waves onshore with an ESE onshore wind. I saw surf in the head high region around at Tama. Nothing spesh.

Bondi’s beach is full of junk! I think all the river systems have been spewing out storm damage from the weekend and this onshore wind is bringing it all back to shore. Watch out – ’cause I saw an 8-metre log wash up at South Bondi, it’s like Indo after a huge monsoon rain.
