Perfection. Deeply slotted

Giddyup

Big day for the punters…good ole’ Melbourne cup, Giddyup. A crazy day in Australia where later on tonight you’ll see drunken young lasses running around in frocks minus a shoe, where the TABs see more money changing hands than a recent stock market crash, and a day that nobody seems to do any work. Mad Rush looks to be the favourite, but ALESSANDRO VOLTA has a much better name (and at 63 bones to one – a fiver will go a long way).

If the Melbourne Cup celebrations aren’t on the agenda today, there is a little sloppy windwave on offer. 3-4 foot of mush at Bondi. Seems to be gettin’ bigger. Later tonight might be the go and tomorrow has favourable northerly winds. Dang

I couldn’t find anything remotely interesting to shoot down at the beach this morning. I have 10 terrabytes of archival gold to show – so here is some Black and Whites from this years Mentawai tour in April.

Byron2Bondi for prostate

A 665 km ocean paddle in a two person sea kayak from Byron Bay to Bondi Beach by two slightly crazed guys intent on raising funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer along the way. The adventure will start at Byron on 20th December 08 and we hope to surf into Bondi Beach by 10th January 09 covering 35 kms a day and raising $10,000 in the process through sponsorship and sausage sizzles in towns along the coast. Money raised is going to the Australian Prostate Cancer Foundation. Check out more info and support
