Patience

If you had bad timing you could think it was pretty much flat down at Bondi this morning. If you were patient enough to wait 15-20 minutes a wave would appear in the 2 foot range. The swell is still very east, so Bondi won’t be attracting the best of it…go to Maroubra, Whaley, Manly…stuff like that. Forecast is only for 23 degrees today…even though it feels so much hotter already. The southerly winds are starting to blow as I upload this content to the website…18-23 knots later today. So the first half of today is the best time to hit the beach.

Tomorrow a new SSE swell will arrive (2-3 foot) combined with W/SW winds – that should be good. Hit south facing beaches.

Next week Aquabumps is going to be updated from the amazingly blues of Fiji. Yep, we’ve booked an island…even organised a chopper for a few shots…and hopefully we’ll get a couple of swells.

If you own a iphone download the new AQUABUMPS APP from your APP STORE. It’s hot. Well… I think so. Special thanks to the boyz at Conversant Media for creating it. Some of the smartest people I’ve ever worked with.

The Aerial exhibition is still hanging in the Aquabumps Gallery due to popular demand. We’re open all weekend, like every weekend 10am to 6pm both days. 151 Curlewis Street Bondi beach NSW Telephone 9130 7788. Right behind the Bondi hotel worksite.

  1. Hey Uge,

Just wanted to say a big thanks for getting me back out in the water again, with the lighter afternoons and some awesome photos and swell info to get me in the mood, I’m sprinting from my work at 4.45 every day and getting back to Bondi in record time to get the final 45min of surf left in the light, bring on Daylight savings!!!

    Cheers Paul
