No this isn’t shot in Fiji or Tahiti – this is BONDI! Yes we do have water this clear here. It was shot on one of the last really hot days for summer 2009. Hard to believe the water clarity on this day – crystal clear. Shooting directly above from a helicopter enables you to cut through the glare and see right to the ocean floor. You can even see fish in this image if you look closely – and I was 500 feet in the air! The amazing thing about this image is that the beach had around 15,000 people tucked in the northern corner of Bondi – just to the left of frame…even though you could be fooled to think this was taken somewhere miles from any city. I don’t know who the swimmer is nor did I set this shot up. She just swam out to escape the crowds close to the shore.
