"Look Mum, 1 foot"

I really like living around here… always something going down… let me talk you through my morning and I will explain why.
I woke up to clear skies…it was a little chilly (10ish degrees), but a nice morning to be roaming around our beaches. I always try and get up well before the sun, just in case there is a colour spray sunrise. Lately, I’ve been struggling a little to peel outta bed.
I can get to Bondi beach on my bicycle by one single push of the pedals and rolling the rest of the way (300 metres). Upon initial inspection, I came to the conclusion that a 6-8 foot swell is probably breaking better somewhere else than Bondi which only handles 3-4 foot (max.).
Took off over the hill to Tamarama and saw a guy on a unicycle in a colour matched outfit. Also saw some mountains of water detonating on the shores of Tamarama. It’s BIG! It’s quite common for Tamarama to be flooded with a big swell all the way back to the concrete wall. I bet the Sculptures by the Sea people were a tad worried about all their precious sculptures drifting out to sea overnight.
Sculptures are on. Hundreds of people were up early checking them out. Amazing how many people the show draws out. There’s giant handbags, stacks of oars, bulldozers with pink goo, a Rhino in trouble and a giant red Havi.
All this before 6:30am.

RUOK? Bondi Icebergs, 7am

Un piede

It’s one foot…or un piede.
Really lacking surf conditions today. The swell charts show an increase later to head high. That sounds good to me. I hope it arrives soon!
Did I see the Dolphins today? Yes, but they were far out so no pics.
Have you been watching the WSL in France? Things are heating up for a finals day. My money is on John John.
It’s much, much cooler today after yesterday’s blistering 32 degrees. It’s quite confusing how to dress for your day at the moment.:: uge
