This view doesn't get old. Bondi Beach 7am

Doozie

It was hard to get out of bed this morning…very cold (4 degrees in wind chill). If you ventured beyond your doona covers you were rewarded though. It all begun with a colour mash sunrise around 6:45 – 7am. Amazing, wasn’t it? Then as the light came on you could see clean, decent, 3 footers at Bondi. Dang! Looked so fun out there this morning.

  1. Uge, beautiful photos today. I missed Bondi beach today as swam with a friend at Prince Alfred Park Pool at 07:30 – 2 hours later than my normal Bondi Beach walk & swim. Uge, I don’t get to see you these wintry days as I am gone by 6:30! The sun is still sleeping at that time!

  2. I greeted this sunrise down at Bronte. My husband, Matt, died at Tamarama a year ago to the day, on 2 July 2014. It was so cold on Thursday last week, but such a beautiful moment to sit on the sand and watch the shifting colours appear on the horizon and reflect on the life of an amazing man who I love and miss very, very much. You’re right: it was a very special sunrise. Thank you for your photos, Uge. Matt was a big fan. We have one of your framed prints hanging over our kitchen table. It means even more to me now. x

  3. Hannah i remember reading your beautiful blog post after you lost your husband. It makes us so happy to know that you enjoy the daily photos and have your own Aquabumps print at home to remind you of Matt. Deb & Uge Tan xx
