Yesterday’s good waves and sunshine are now a distant memory as a southerly rain storm has rolled into town. 2 guys paddled out at Bondi – Will Ranken and Phil Geurs but they returned to the beach after 1 wave – that says it all, those regulars will surf anything (Man grommets). Do something else today.
Seeing you’re indoors, here are some distractions from my recent web trawlings that you might find interesting:
Dark Side of the Lens Video – if you haven’t seen this, watch it now – a must. It just won the short film category in the New York Surf Film Festival. Or check out the misfits that attended the Gravis Creative Departures exhibition (TMoe, Arto Saari, Javier Mendisabal blah blah) at the SugarMill. Or check out the girls riding around Bondi last Saturday’s in 5 degrees wearing just bikinis (handing out thongs)…hang on, what about this weird mix of surf shots on Boston.com

Rain runoff- think animal crap, cigarette buts, bits of plastic, sewer overflows, engine oil and brake pad dust.
