Ze dribble…

Went down from my lil’ dawdle and was surprised to find rideable 2 footers…ok, maybe 1 or 2 were a tad bigger. It’s lacking omfff but the sunshine was out early making for inviting conditions. To go or to not go? Go! (but maybe take a large wave riding craft)

The ’morrow will be bigger in the morning and more east direction in the source – that’s good news as most places will be drawing sumpin’.

Winds currently light, but she’s about to blow 25 knots of southerly (hence the cloud cover coming over).

Bye, uge

Started off sunny, clouds rolling in now

  1. Send Huey down my way to dish out some swell.

I went out for a stickie beak and all there was was some fresh air and a good look around. in other words SFA!!

I hate it when they say “You should have been here yesterday”

  2. Hi everyone…that picture of the Golden Gate isn’t for sale as I didn’t shoot it. It was shot at a very high ISO and I don’t think it’s suitable for blowing up – sorry.

  3. Mate, tell us more about the Golden Gate left – looks awesome. when does it work? how big does it get? does it get packed out or is it a weird freak like Nielsen Park in the Harbour in the 80’s & pretty much just a hard core group of locals sneak out under once in a blue moon conditions?

  4. Your photos are an inspiration in my inbox every morning… Would love to see how you do it all. Any chance you could get a fellow wave rider to shoot YOU in action for a change, so we can see how it’s done?

  5. Canon are launching a video series on how I do all this stuff…should be good. think it comes out in a week or so. thanks uge

  6. Hey Rich, Havent been here long enough to work it out just yet mate, but I did run into an Aussie who mentioned its a nice, fun wave when the swell is just too big coming in from SW (I think). There is a beach here called Ocean Beach which always seems to have something going on, but when its huge it cant handle it, so yeah the locals get down under the bridge and get some waves (apparently nice barrels too) – but yes very territorial. I did find a photographer that takes photos of the break but nothing like on here, do you want the link?
