Hi. Nice morning again with moments of sunshine and warmer temperatures. Plenty out enjoying a hint of summer. Bondi was a sorry 1 foot grovel so a short spin to the Bra was probably the best option. The onshore NE winds down there made a mess of things though…at least it was bigger – and surfable (ish) 2 – maybe 3 feet.
Today’s not the best day to surf, seeing it’s meant to be raining and we 27 banging degrees, go for a lunchtime swim instead. Gonna rain tomorrow for sure. South swell due this weekend but so is a flanking 25 knot wind. Will see.
Community announcement : Where’s the big Blue Groper gone – our State fish of NSW? Concerned local residents have formed an action group “South Head Marine Sanctuary From Clovelly to Camp Cove” in aid of protecting the big blues. There is also a meeting tonight to talk thru the results of the yearlong ‘Blue Groper’ tagging project in the Bronte to Coogee Aquatic reserve. Thursday 14th October 6:30-8:30pm at the Bondi Surf Bathers’ Life Saving Club. more
